The Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin, Texas, hosts the world's largest urban bat colony, featuring 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats that emerge nightly from March to October. Renovation in the early 1980s created ideal, narrow crevices for them to roost. Peak viewing is at sunset from the bridge or underneath at the Austin American-Statesman's Bat Observation Area. 🌅🦇🌆
