Prescribed burn - Tomorrow
Weather and fuels permitting, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (Univ. of Texas at Austin) will conduct a prescribed burn (1 unit, 35-acres) on October 7th. The project is in support of the Center’s land management goals to improve plant diversity and promote fire adapted landscapes. Our objective is to focus on vegetation management along our perimeter with Austin Parks & Recreation and Austin Water Utility lands.

Community Wide Garage Sale
The CCHOA will host Circle C's Semi-Annual Garage Sale, Saturday, October 17th. Homeowners are encourage to host their individual garage sales at their homes on this date. We will be advertising the event (in print and on-line) from 8am-5pm. In addition to the garage sale, the CCHOA will be offering paper shredding by Data Armor and the Salvation Army will be onsite to collect donations at the Community Center (7817 La Crosse Ave) from 10am-2pm or until the trucks are full.
*Data Armor will be in the parking lot with their shredding truck for drive-up and shred on the spot service. You drive up, open your door or trunk, hand off your papers, and your papers are fed directly into the shredder. Each resident may bring three standard size boxes (16x12x10) or personal records to shred. Paper clips, staples and small binder clips are permitted. Ring binders and books are NOT permitted.
*The Salvation Army will be here to take gently used clothing, furniture and household items and appliances. Appliances including Air Conditions, Dryers, Electric/Gas Stoves, Heaters, Microwaves, Refrigerators (working), Color TV's (working) and Washing Machines.
***There will not be any electronic recycling. To recycle electronics, they can be taken directly to the Recycle & Reuse Drop-off Center located at 2514 Business Center Drive, Austin TX 78744. Make your appointment to drop off those electronics at
Recycle and Reuse Center At the Recycle and Reuse Center, you can drop off many items to be recycled, reused or safely discarded. You can also pick up free items to reuse yourself.

Food Trailer Night this Friday
In addition to our great food trailers, we'll be welcoming candidates for Austin City Council District 8, Texas House of Representatives District 47, AISD Trustee Position 7 and At-Large Position 9 and the Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD).
Come out, enjoy some great food, meet the candidates, and take the opportunity to ask them questions directly.
