Anyone else love their results after zoom? I can’t lie, I was nervous about doing this treatment because of horror stories I have heard from other clinicians and patients about severe pain afterwards. My teeth were pretty sensitive the night after treatment but nothing I like the stories I have heard.
I did 5 rounds!! 🤪
Our office protocol was to take 400-600mg of ibuprofen an hour before the zoom treatment and it has worked like a charm for our staff and patients. Happy patients make me happy so I am curious what you guys are doing to help with this problem.
Kor whitening is still my absolute favorite whitening system. There just isn’t anything better on the market in my opinion but I am in love with my zoom results!!
What does your office do to prevent discomfort after ZOOM treatment?

Breath Lab is investigating how our faces have begun to deform. Today, our skulls are marked by high, narrow palates, short lower jaws, and often, insufficient space. We all know that children drop their baby teeth, there’s typically inadequate room for the adult teeth, which leads to crowding and misaligned teeth. Worst of all, this anatomy encourages mouth-breathing, which can, in turn, lead to under-the-radar sleep difficulties and a whole array of problems ranging from behavioral challenges, anxiety, and depression to cognitive issues. These conditions can be corrected through orthodontics, dentistry, myofunctional therapy, and even surgery to remove tonsils and adenoids.

This weeks recommend CE Course!!
Course highlights:
The most recent research identifies there are many factors that are involved with bruxism including lifestyle, stress factors, medications, mental and physical disorders, and malocclusion
Bruxism is classified into two categories:
Primary (idiopathic) is when the disorder is not a related medical condition, or
Secondary (iatrogenic) is when the side effects of medications, neurological or developmental disorders are causing the behavior.8
Primary bruxism is further divided into two types: awake and sleep bruxism. Clenching or grinding of the teeth is a common activity that can occur both during the day and at night.
How caffeine, alcohol, and to***co use can contribute to bruxism.
Misaligned teeth may serve as the cause of bruxism, not as its consequence.
Exercise
Exercise helps relieve stress by increasing the immune and circulatory systems which helps with a peaceful night’s sleep and increases serotonin and dopamine. Hobbies for relaxation such as meditation or yoga can relieve bruxism tendencies.
Natural Remedies
A deficiency in certain vitamins can cause emotional stress and nutritional difficulties which may lead to bruxism.
Calcium and Magnesium
Some research states bruxism could be caused by deficiencies in magnesium and calcium. Magnesium’s vital role is in nerve and muscle function. A magnesium deficiency causes muscle spasms. Increasing magnesium intake will help relieve muscle tension. Calcium deficiency causes muscle cramps and involuntary movement of muscles, the facial muscles included.
CBD Oil
CBD (Cannabidoil) oil is a relatively new treatment used for many symptoms. Its effectiveness is still an item of debate in many medical communities. It is also illegal in some states, so be sure and check your state laws before use. It can be used as a natural alternative for treatment of pain and inflammation. CBD oil is derived from the cannabis plant and separated from the THC component, making it non-psychoactive. It produces effects in the body to target specific receptors in providing natural pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties. This should be used as a topical treatment

Episode #1 of the Podcast is out! Check us out on Spotify! A huge population of children might be candidates for early alternative orthodontia. Around one-quarter of school-age children snore, meaning the upper airway is narrow and vibrating — an abnormal situation. Even snoring can result in outcomes that are negative including neuro-cognitive deficits.
Breath Lab will be featured on Apple Podcasts in the next few days! Stay tuned for this and other Big Announcements coming this week!
