I regret to inform everyone that I have accidentally fallen in love with another man.

His name is .

He's younger than I usually fall for.
He's ridiculously handsome.
He's clingy.
He's always in my personal space.
And I am completely okay with every bit of it!

Duck is a 7-month-old Australian Shepherd mix who appears to have been assembled from spare parts at the puppy factory. One ear is listening to country music. The other is monitoring air traffic control. Together, they somehow create the cutest little face on planet Earth.

This boy is wicked smart, ridiculously affectionate, and firmly believes that personal space is a myth invented by people who don't enjoy being loved.

Need a couch buddy? Duck volunteers.

Need a cuddle buddy? Duck volunteers.

Need a meal inspector? Duck is ready to start his shift.

Need a hero? Duck barks at dogs on TV AND ladies in distress during television shows. He's basically Lassie with fewer boundaries.

When he's not solving puzzle toys faster than most humans, he's wrestling with dog friends, chasing toys, collecting belly rubs, or following his people around like their world's happiest little shadow.

And when he loves you?

He loves you with his WHOLE BODY.

The leaning.
The cuddling.
The tail wags.
The face kisses.
The complete inability to understand why you would ever want to be in a different room than him.

Duck isn't just looking for a home.

You all did it again.

Actually... you did it BIGGER.

Our 3rd Annual Charity Yard Sale raised a RECORD-BREAKING $5,024.96 for the animals of Pawsitive Restorations Animal Rescue! 🐾❤️

That's right.

Somewhere between the mountains of donated treasures, the bargain hunters sprinting toward incredible deals, and Pam pricing things so low that I nearly needed medical intervention... we crossed the FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR mark! 🤯

This incredible success was only possible because of:

❤️ 38 generous families who donated their unwanted treasures to help our orphans

🛍️ Our amazing community shoppers who came ready to hunt for bargains and left with carloads of fabulous finds

🐾 Our incredible volunteers who worked throughout both days to sort, organize, haul, price, cashier, restock, answer questions, and keep everything running smoothly

👑 And a very special shoutout to Pam, our Yard Sale Maestro and Fundraising Director, who organized, coordinated, hosted, and somehow survived her THIRD consecutive year leading this event!

Every dollar raised goes directly toward building our medical fund and helping us continue to provide lifesaving care to animals who have nowhere else to turn.

To everyone who donated, shopped, volunteered, shared our posts, spread the word, or cheered us on from afar:

L👀K At these adorable bookmarks our new friend Muriel made to help support our orphans!

This wonderful woman reached out to me a couple weeks ago to share that she found us because one of her neighbors adopted a dog from us. She checked us out on Facebook and loved a post that was written about Thelma and her epic "reflection freak out."

🤣🤣 It WAS pretty funny!

Muriel shared that she's retired now, and loves to use her talents to help rescued animals by making darling bookmarks out of vintage playing cards and really sweet images of pups.

She very generously offered to send us some of her Creations to put into auctions, raffles, and gift baskets to help raise funds for our program!

16 thoughtfully-made bookmarks arrived today! And guys... THESE ARE SO FLIPPING ADORABLE!! 😍 And very well made!

Thank you, Muriel!! These little Treasures will absolutely be making their way into raffle baskets and our auctions soon!

💚FREEDOM RIDE!! 💚

Ya'll. There's busy... and then there's STUPID BUSY. For the past two weeks, (longer) we've been surviving the latter category. 🥴

Getting ready for this absolutely insane yard sale and the Strays of Summer Event while taking care of lots and lots of orphaned animals has been... a lot.

There is so much to catch everybody up on! And we promise to do that once we can get past this weekend because we are still not done yet! But I want to introduce you to our SEVEN newest pack members! 😍

Yesterday, and her SIX teeny (not so teeny) little bundles of joy arrived to our program.

It took SEVEN different transport legs to bring this family to safety. These are absolute angels who took time our of their days to ensure safe passage of this little family to get them to us.

To safety.

To the healthy and bright future they deserve.

Can we give a great big round of applause to the transporters who helped to save these seven dogs!? Including our very own mamas, Cathy & Ruth! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Mama desi is about a 2 year old Dachshund mix girl who whelped a literal smorgasbord of THE most adorable little squeaky twinkies you ever laid your peepers on. 👀

And guess what?! A brand new, first time ever Foster family said, "YES" to helping us save their lives!

Enter Shannon and Bill. A lovely couple with a great sense of humor who had a little space in their home and a whole lot of love in their heart, have made it possible for these seven Beautiful Creatures to... live.

That's a pretty substantial impact. 💪

Welcome to the fam, guys!

I'm fairly certain, after having spent time with these precious kiddos last night, that Shannon and Bill have probably spent their entire day today sitting inside or just outside of the whelping box doting on this amazingly loving little mama and chuckling while simultaneously falling head over heels in love with these absolutely freakishly adorable tiny creatures that just took over their lives. 😍🐾

So without further ado, everyone please welcome Mama Desi, , , , , , and to our family. 💜

They are safe today because incredible humans said yes.
