We are so thankful for friends-new an old-who come to visit us and see the work we are doing in Cambodia.

A few days ago we had friends from Singapore come and visit the Joy Day Care Center! We hope to see them again soon!

Joy Day Care, since being in the heart of a bustling city, is one of the easier Centers to get to. We have many international teams and individuals who have helped us at this Center. With the conflict on the border, we have seen a drop in volunteers but praise the Lord for our new friends.

Please be in prayer for Cambodia as the season of Pchum Ben (Ancestors' Day) — ភ្ជុំបិណ្ឌ is upon us. The main days of celebration are October 10-12 this year. Pray for believers to resist any temptation to join in and be bold and loving in sharing their believe in Jesus to family and friends. Prayers for safety during this time. And prayers as flooding is still an issue in the country but especially around the Thai border.

We feel so honored to be able to help the children who live near the city dump and whose life expectancies are not that high. We are thankful for the parents who let us watch over their little ones Monday through Friday. We are honored by those who help us bathe them, clean their street clothes, feed them a warm meal, teach them things their peers in nice houses are learning, and just have time to be a child and carefree for a few days a week. The Joy Day Care truly is a place where joy is abundant!

Praise the Lord for a wonderful weekend of meeting with friends from PEPC. The Lord is really moving around the world with healing people, and encouraging His people to disciple those who are seeking Him. Thank you again Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church for another amazing missions weekend. Now we need to get a group from your church to visit us in Cambodia!

Thank you so much for your prayers for the Battambang Center and all of Cambodia during this time. We are sharing some photos from Andy and Pha who are missionaries helping at our Center.

"All week we had warnings about flooding starting on Friday, and we did get a lot of rain. On Wednesday I felt better enough that I wanted to add a new ditch. We have a few drains to remove water from the property, but the one on the east end of campus didn't have much draining into it. A lot of water often stands around the guest house, so I started digging through the clay. A few guys came to help while I was there, and we got enough to maybe help a bit. The clay is heavy, and by lunch time I was done. But more students decided it needed to be deeper after I went in, and we ended up with a ditch that should pull water away from the guest house area. It is deeper than the bottom of the grate at the drain on the other end, but when it gets high, it does drain out. Even when it is below the drain, it provides more area for the water to seep into the ground.

When it rains hard, the water gets up to the bridge we made from a grate. And at the end of the week, the water only drains out very slowly. The drainage system must be full. We see fish swimming in and out of the drains.

The Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng Bridge over the Sangkae River in Battambang city was temporarily closed to traffic today, September 25, after water levels in the river rose sharply following several days of heavy rainfall, according to the Battambang provincial administration.

We are excited to share wonderful news from one of our pastors. He has been ministering at the temporary village "Rong Cham", mean = waiting village. This village is a holding area for the refugees who have houses on the border with Thailand and are awaiting to go back home. But while they are there Pastor Timothy of TransformAsia is preaching to more than 100 new converts for the last several months. Glory to Jesus.
