The whole crew component of Brush 48 is back home safe and sound from the South Fork Fire in Nebraska. We're cleaning up, re-stocking, sharpening tools, and getting everything ready for the next deployment of the season.

We couldn't be prouder of one of our firefighters (Dylan Ginsberg), who has developed an app to aid firefighters in working with Electrical Vehicles, in a way that no app has done previously! It looks like an AI search, but functions completely differently and doesn't need internet access. Further, it's kind to firefighters in ways that few apps are.

Smart EV Guides Brings AI Search to EV Emergency Response, Signals Broader Push to Build AI and Machine-Learning Tools for First Responders Smart EV Guides, an app for first responders, now covers over 500 vehicles and features an AI search for Emergency Response Guides, addressing the rise in EV-related incidents.

Deployment update: Brush 48 day 4 assignments to protect interior areas with targeted hotspot mitigation via information from drones. The crew is packed into steep, and rocky timber and terrain. Brush 48 cooked a fireline lunch over a hotspot before full extinguishing.
