What a heartbreaker for Mikie tonight!

A gear change before qualifying completely woke the car up, and it showed. Mikie just missed the dash by one position, then came back and drove to an impressive Heat Race win, earning the pole position for the main event.

When the green flag dropped, Mikie was exactly where he belonged—out front. He led the first 12 laps and looked poised for a shot at victory before disaster struck when the left front block snapped, ending an incredible run far too soon.

That’s racing. It can be cruel sometimes, but it’s also what builds resilient drivers. Mikie showed the speed, confidence, and race craft to compete for the win, and we’ll take those positives with us.

Mikie will be heading to the University of Chicago this Friday for a leadership program, so he’ll unfortunately miss one of his favorite races, the QRC Cup. We couldn’t be more proud of the young man he’s becoming both on and off the track.

We’ll be back and ready to chase another checkered flag on August 1st. Thank you to everyone for the continued support of Mikie!
