So, I did a thing this week. I accomplished a major career milestone by receiving the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) Top 40 Under 40 Award! ACT hosted their TDM Forum in Atlanta, GA, where I joined my fellow recipients from across the nation who also service the needs of their community in this ever changing landscape. I’m grateful for the opportunity to service this great community. I’m grateful to The Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce, Bethesda Urban Partnership, Bethesda Transportation Solutions, Leadership Montgomery, and GBCC-NextExecs for providng the space necessary to continue my career and continue this journey to make a better commute for a better Bethesda!

Today, I’m grateful for life, love, and laughter. I’m thankful to God for placing my birthday on Father’s Day and Juneteenth. In my 39 years I’ve learned to be an advocate for my people. And on my 2nd Father’s Day, I’m learning how to eliminate needs and activate the potential inside of my daughter.

In my speech, I told my leadership class that life will always present a problem but the solutions will only present itself to those of us who emerge as leaders! BARZ! I can’t state it enough how much it meant to have my wife, mom, and babygirl on hand to support me! With so many challenges we’re facing now and that’s on the horizon, I’m grateful to be on this path of influence with a family and a platform that hopefully contributes to the corrections that are needed for our community!
