Extreme weather, big ideas, and a blockbuster celebration! 🌪️🎬 Our 4th grade Weather Warriors wrapped up their first unit with a viewing party for their very own extreme weather movie trailers. After studying all forms of extreme weather, they brought their learning to the big screen—with some very proud parents in the audience! What a fun way to celebrate their hard work and creativity! 💚👏
Students and parents enjoyed viewing everyone’s movie trailers!

Last week, our firsties took the long bus ride to BJ Reece’s Apple Orchard where they learned even more about the apple growing process, played farm games, rode a tractor and picked their very own apples. It was an appletastic day! 🍎🍎🍎

Our Head of Elementary spent time yesterday in 2nd grade, where students learned about Alexander Graham Bell and explored how inventors improve on ideas that already exist. Their creativity blew her away! We may have some future engineers in our midst. 💡🔧
2nd graders visited the Museum of Design Atlanta and learned about how designers plan playgrounds for children. They were tasked with creating a fast prototype of their own playground! They had to think about how to design something that would maximize fun for all children.

You know you’ve built a special community when alumni choose to spend their days off from middle school right back where it all began—especially in their old 5th-grade classroom! Once part of the Herd, always part of the Herd. 🦬💙
Picture-day smiles held strong, Friday work completed, and now it’s time to PLAY! 📸✨ Our fourth graders earned every minute of this much-deserved recess—and we love seeing how happily they play together. Hair may be a little less picture-perfect now, but these smiles are even better! 😄
