Wise words from brother Ermias Asghedom aka Nipsey Hussle. May his soul rest in power and may his words live forever! These words hit different as I roll into Q2. Let’s go!

When I was developing the affirmation this morning for the tribe (Aware Humans), I found myself reflecting on my own journey of becoming.

There were moments where things felt uncomfortable…
where I started questioning if what I was sacrificing was even worth it.

And in those moments, I had to really dig deep within myself and ask:
What am I learning here?

Instead of complaining… what can I reclaim?

I had to change my lens.
It may feel like resistanc but it’s truly a time for refinement.
You may feel like you’re losing but it could actually be alignment.

I’m always reminded that there’s always a lesson within any situation and when we choose to seek it, that’s where the blessing.

You’re not going through it for nothing.
There’s something being built within you.

Embody the cultivation. What you’re learning is a lived experience. Become what you’re building!

Stay with it and most importantly, stay aware 👁️💚💫

I heard the news of Brandon “Hobo” Allen’s passing… and I would be remiss if I didn’t share this throwback video of a legend and light to so many.

I met a young, hungry, and creative Hobo back in 2009/2010. He shot me and the homies for Fly Nation promo a week before I graduated from Tuskegee. Even back then, you could see it… he was different.

Hobo could do it all: photography, design, painting, tattooing. I still carry his work on me to this day. I got my grandfather’s nickname tatted on me by him and that’s forever. Every time I’d bump into him I’d joke, “I need the new Hobo Ink, I got the OG—you got waaay better” lol.

We were supposed to reconnect on some art before he got really sick… but I trust divine timing.

Hobo’s life was an example of what it looks like when you honor God’s creative source and express His creativity through different mediums—impacting so many people along the way.

I’m grateful that our paths crossed and I’m forever reminded to go all the way with my creativity. No holding back.

Rest in power, my brother! 🕊️

Sending my love to his loved ones and close friends. 💚💫

Flashback Friday. Happy 313 Day.

Detroit will always be a part of my story.

This clip is from 2024 of me at the speaking on stage in the city that helped shape me. After I got off the stage, and I were standing by display at reflecting on the journey. A lot of emotions in that moment; especially after sharing the stage with so many legendary people throughout the day.

Moving to Detroit in 2018 wasn’t random. It was God-led. God-driven.

The city embraced me from day one. From working for the City of Detroit, to landing a dream role with , the city just kept opening doors. Detroit is even where we grew Aware and built the relationships that helped us land our Foot Locker deal. That’s the power of real community.

Detroit didn’t just give me opportunity… it gave me growth, perspective, and people that became family.

Huge shout out to my brother Omar and the entire Dismuke family for giving me a jumpstart to what turned into a legendary run for me in Detroit. Love always.

My journey has been real… and Detroit is definitely embedded in it.

Just know Detroit is built different… and it builds people different. I'm going to always have love for the city.

Happy 313 Day.

Have you ever felt your intuition telling you something…
but you kept searching outside of yourself for confirmation?

We live in a world full of noise, opinions, and constant movement. It’s easy to disconnect from that quiet inner voice.

But intuition is often how divine wisdom speaks to us.

Sometimes it doesn’t give us the full picture.
Sometimes it simply asks us to commit to the process.

To trust the nudge.
To trust the pause.
To trust the path unfolding even when everything isn’t fully clear yet.

This week I’ve been sitting with this affirmation:
“I trust my intuition to commit to the process, allowing my inner wisdom to guide me as a divine compass.”

As we move through Women’s History Month, I’ve also been reflecting on the divine feminine energy within us; intuition, wisdom, discernment, and the ability to move with awareness instead of force.

Those qualities live within all of us.

When we learn to trust that inner compass, we move differently.
We respond with awareness instead of impulse.
We make decisions from alignment instead of pressure.

Take a moment today to pause and check in with yourself.

What is your intuition guiding you toward right now?

Stay aware.💚💫

As we close out January, I wanted to share this week’s affirmation — and some context behind it. (If you want these affirmations and reflections sent directly to you, join the email list on theawarebrand.com)

With everything happening in the world right now, there’s a lot of noise… a lot of dust in the air. We start the year with goals and intentions, and when things don’t immediately feel clear or aligned, it’s easy to feel distracted or off track.

If that’s you — don’t fret.

Stand tall.
Things are still shifting within you and around you.
Not everything needs to make sense right away.

Keep the faith and allow the dust to settle.
Continue showing up.
Find your rhythm again.
Trust yourself and hold the intention without forcing the outcome.

Patience is part of the process.
Faith is staying steady while clarity forms.

Stay aware my friends 💫💚

Dr. King reminded us that wholeness was never meant to be individual.

That our lives are connected — not just socially, but spiritually and morally.

That how we live, grow, and heal affects more than just ourselves.

This quote isn’t just history.
It’s instruction.
If we want a healthier world, the work starts with becoming whole; mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically — together.

Today isn’t just about remembrance.

It’s about responsibility.

Stay aware. 👁️💚💫

2016 was a dope year for me. I was conceptualizing Aware and on a crazy run with my R&B series, RnB Untapped.

It’s hard to believe that was 10 years ago. A mentor once told me I’ve had many moments where I tasted success, but hadn’t fully turned the corner yet. Looking back, he was right.

As I reflect on everything between then and now, I can see why. A lot had to change within me. I had to check my ego, grow as a leader, and become a better steward of what I was given. I was lacking in those areas.

Now in 2026, things are different. The hard lessons shaped me, and I’m finally embodying them. My mission is bigger than music, bigger than clothes, bigger than any one industry I worked in — and I know that now.

I’m allowing God to make me, to build the container of who I am so I can carry what He has waiting for me. True humility.

Grateful to Yahuah for the lessons. It’s not just on me—it’s in me. And what’s in me is what truly matters.

To my hustlers, innovators, and pioneers:
Trust the process. Be patient. Build systems that can support scale. Keep God first—and honor both the wins and the losses.

The vision was never the problem. I’m just being prepared.

Giving thanks to Yah in advance.
