🎉 Mr. Nichols is a one of a kind Assistant Principal. He is always ready and willing to do anything & everything that is needed around the school! From creating schedules, readying testing materials, finding coverage for classrooms, and lurking in the shadows to give us a fright. We are grateful to have the man with the plan, who ensures “we’re doing it” and it’s all coming together.”

🎉 Ms. Dempsey’s first career wasn’t in education but from the knowledge, warmth, and love she brings to her classroom you’d never know it. She is one of the most innovative educators in our building! She is known and loved for her ability to uplift her colleagues especially in the form of her religious mini figures. You can find her outside her door every morning greeting every student with a smile or high five.

🎉 Mr. Nguyen has been one of the greatest gifts Vanderlyn has received! He is one of the most reliable and hardest working staff members at our school. In addition to keeping the cafeteria clean between lunches, moving furniture and removing unwelcomed wasps with sometimes as little as his bare hands- he has kept Vanderlyn looking pristine!

Today we celebrate and thank Katie Louviere as the outgoing Vanderlyn PTO Co-President. She has led with heart, humility, and an unwavering commitment to our students, teachers, and families. Much of her impact happened quietly behind the scenes through countless hours of planning, problem-solving, and showing up whenever help was needed.

And of course, no tribute would be complete without mentioning the times she stepped in as Vander to bring joy and school spirit to our students. 💙💛
