Patient came in this week the day before, same day and day after some significant dental work. We did a session a few hours after procedure and by that evening patient already noticed less pain, less swelling. Woke up day after procedure with only mild discomfort, no swelling, no bruising!
Session before dental procedure focused on relaxing, de-stressing, immune support and supporting the specific area of mouth for dental procedure.
Did you know each tooth is connected to specific areas / systems in our body? So distress in a specific tooth can indicate / cause distress in other areas of our body.
It's all connected!

Last professional photos were only 2 years ago but my-oh-my have things changed!
I’ve added a 3 treatment room and did lots of enhancement and updates to the space, not to mention our whole building has undergone a complete interior renovation!
I love my space and hope others do too!
Stay tuned for sneak peek soon!

I’ve Already enrolled for fall classes … Doctorate degree here I come!
For those that don’t know, Acupuncture has been Masters level Degree. It is starting to migrate to a Doctorate level degree.
I’m happy and excited to extend my education and degree to achieve a Doctorate level within my healthcare field of Acupuncture.
I love this form of healthcare! I enjoy educating and helping my patients better understand their body and conquer their own health challenges!

Day 3 is done and I’m at the airport ready to be home!
Another full day going into the abdominal cavity, pelvic floor, joint dissection, spine & spinal nerves and seeing the innervation of muscles!
It’s amazing what our bodies say about how we live our life … there are no secrets in death.
Live well … you only have one body so take care of it to the best of your ability.
Then when it’s time to go, consider leaving something for the next generation of healthcare practitioners to learn and fine tune their skills. The gift we were given to work on and learn from these individuals is beyond measure, I’m so sorry for the loss their families are having to endure but we all walked away as better practitioners today, so thank you!

Day 2 of Cadaver Lab did not disappoint!
Highlights:
I was responsible for dissection of my guy’s posterior shoulder and neck area (deltoid, trapezius, levator scap, infraspinatus, rhomboid)
Then onto the triceps! I found the main nerves in the arm (radial, ulnar & medial) and followed their path to the hand and fingers. Seeing along the way all the places these nerves can easily get entrapped causing pain, numbness or tingling in the elbow, wrist, hand and fingers.
We found all things glute!
Max, med, min, that pesky piriformis and quadratus femoris.
We got a good look at the sciatic nerve, occipital nerves and facial nerves too!
Todays bonus discoveries included lipomas, swollen lymph nodes, adhesions, a kidney (we were told all organs had been removed, most likely for transplants), screws and brackets for lower lumbar surgery and hardware to repair a broken hip!
It was a big day!
Tomorrow is Pelvic Floor day!
I’m exhausted … and, I can’t wait !!

Day 1 of 3 complete!
I’ve worked with cadavers in the past but this time around I am hands on thru the dissection process!
So much gratitude for the families who agree to have their loved one’s body used for organ donation and for learning in this amazing way.
Our body is amazing y’all! So thankful for this continuing education opportunity!
