The Georgia Chapter of the American Statistical Association cordially invites you to join the Council of Chapters Traveling course on Introduction to Data Science, Machine Learning and Deep Learning (in R and Python).
Introduction to Data Science, Machine Learning and Deep Learning (in R and Python)

August 6-7, 2021: 1:00-4:30 PM (EST) - online
The course will be presented virtually, with two 3.5-hour sessions on two consecutive days. This course will provide an overview of using R and Python for some of the most popular machine learning and deep learning models in real-world data science applications in the cloud environment. The sessions will step through the basic theoretical concepts behind those models and mainly focus on applications.

We are pleased to announce that the American Statistical Association (ASA) Georgia Chapter and the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics of Emory University will co-host the ASA Georgia chapter fall meeting during 5:30-9:30pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Professor Michael Kosorok from University of North Carolina will give a keynote speech during 8:00-9:00pm. The location will be Rita Anne Rollins Room, 8th floor of the Grace Crum Rollins (GCR) Building, Emory University, 1518 Clifton Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30322.
The registration fee will be $20 for ASA member, $25 for non-members, and $5 for students or Postdoc. It includes free dinner and drinks during 6:30-8:00pm.
