Barb (pictured on the left) joined a meeting of US-based staff yesterday, and we were so inspired by everything God has done through her ministry career in Africa! A current project she’s working on is getting trauma care to those who need it most by distributing audio players pre-loaded with resources in several languages to help them heal. May God continue transforming lives through Barb's amazing efforts!

“Becoming a Christian radically changed the trajectory of my life,” Audrey says. “I went from living in sin and darkness—barely acknowledging God—to God becoming the center of my life.” With a heart shaped by her newfound faith and her Japanese heritage, Audrey now feels drawn to share the gospel in Japan. This summer, she’s returning to Japan as a believer for the first time, exploring whether God may be leading her into long-term missions there. At first, Austin had some fears that were holding him back from going on mission. “I’m not scared to tell people about the Lord,” Joy says. “So, I was like, ‘Why not?’ If the Lord's going to send somebody, why wouldn't it be me?” Joy currently attends Ohio University, where she studies psychology and actively participates in an outreach program with her church. This summer she’s going to Thailand and Cambodia with Encompass to see if God might be calling her to long-term missions. A few years ago, Laura’s parents became cross-cultural workers in France. As Laura visited them, she gained an understanding of the culture and even got to interact with our internship team there in an unofficial capacity. This summer, she’s stepping into an official leadership role, where she’ll use her experience as a teacher to invest in this year’s interns. This week, we remember three faithful former Encompass workers—Mike Volovski, Ruth Ann Martin, and Imogene Burk—whose lives were marked by decades of gospel ministry around the world. Though we grieve their passing, we rejoice that they are now in the presence of Jesus, whom they served so faithfully in the Central African Republic, Argentina, Brazil, and beyond.
