Forgotten Paws is an all volunteer, no-kill, nonprofit Rescue just NW of Atlanta, GA In 1996 Forgotten Paws Dog Rescue became a reality. I had no idea!

It began with my love for my little beagle mix girls, Sandy and Sugar, my ignorance of the overpopulation issues, and a one eyed dachshund black lab mix named Toby. I found Toby in the parking lot of my office complex. He had gotten away from a rescue organization just down the road and crossed the big four lane. He had a tag on so I called them to return him. I found out he had been adopted and r

SHERLOCK is amazingly sweet and so smart!

This 90 lb, 1 1/2 yr old shepherd mix and is just the best. He is sweet, smart and easy going. He spends his days playing with toys and occasionally playing chase w the other dogs. He has no idea how big he is and loves to get hugs. Good with dogs and older kids (due to size), he would be an amazing addition to you home. We’ve never had him with cats. 😢

A fenced yard is required. Housebroken, crate trained, good with other dogs of all sizes, no cats, no small kids simply bc of his size. They were located in Acworth, Georgia, application and home visit are required.

He is neutered, heartworm, negative, microchip, and fully vaccinated.

Located in Acworth, Georgia, but available anywhere around Atlanta. Approved home gets a two week trial prior to official adoption. Fee is $150

MONTE UPDATE:
I completely forgot to post a thank you to the amazing woman that helped with Transport of Monty last Thursday. Susan picked him up in Woodstock in the morning (first photo where he looks like he’s been kidnapped by a complete stranger and indeed he had been🤣🤣) and transported him to the vet in Acworth and then Izzy picked him up from the vet in Acworth and took him back to Woodstock, and he got a pup cup!. It is such a tremendous to have amazing people who will help with things like this because it freeze up the time I need to take care of all of the kennel house dogs.

UPDATE: Monty went in for his infusion that keeps his calcium levels low (they spike every month due to the cancer) and keeps him feeling good. The previous week he went into oncology for a recheck and had bloodwork and an ultrasound. His liver levels are elevated so he’s been started on Denamarin but his a**l sack mass, even though it’s bigger, it’s only SLIGHTLY bigger, which is great news.

We do have some outstanding Vet bills for Monty:
Butler Creek Animal Hospital: $550
Arista Advanced Pet Care: $1002

Monty also has a medication cost of $275 a month for Chemo meds ($155), Visbiome probiotics ($50)and now the Denamarin ($75) on top of the heartworm and flea meds he needs. If you would like to sponsor any part of Monty’s cancer journey pls let me know.

Senior Sanctuary Dog Sunday Update on Spot. Still doing well and I hope this post doesn’t jinx that. He was diagnosed w bone cancer a couple of months ago so the leg repaired isn’t healing but the hardware is holding. He limps but seems to enjoy life so as long as he’s not in pain, heavily medicated, she push on. Every night he gives me a kiss when I bring him his food bowl. Before bed I give him a kiss bc unfortunately, as I’ve learned too many times this year, you never know.

Keep smiling Spot!

Oliver, is a two year-old, 26 pound, Beagle Frenchie mix. Don’t let the Frenchie part fool you, this is a Beagle. He does not bark like a beagle, but he has the squirrel prey drive of a beagle. 🤣
He’s amazing with the other dogs, loves children, and even though he has a squirrel pre-drive like a beagle, I think he would be fine with cats inside the house. He’s just a sweet little boy. He likes to go for a walks, but they’re not fast walks…there is a lot of things to sniff.

Oliver is housebroken, crate, trained, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.

Located in Acworth, Georgia just west of Atlanta, Georgia. Apply on our website at Forgottenpaws (.com)
