I am proud to call Cobb County home. That is why I serve. I haven’t spent my life chasing political office, but service to others is nothing new to me.

Several of you have been asking about Governor Kemp’s endorsement for Governor. I’ll let him tell you himself.

Happy Birthday to the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. A relentless patriot who fights every day for the country he loves, the people he serves, and the American Dream.

Today we honor Flag Day and the powerful symbol of freedom, sacrifice, and unity that our American flag represents.

May we never forget the generations of men and women who have defended it, served under it, and given so much to preserve the liberties it stands for.

God bless America.

Great to join Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp today at the Georgia World Congress Center for the kick-off of the FIFA World Cup in Atlanta.

This is an exciting moment for our state. The World Cup is the largest sporting event in the world, and Atlanta will be on the global stage as we welcome fans, teams and visitors from across the country and around the world. Beyond the matches, this event will showcase Georgia’s hospitality, strengthen our tourism economy and highlight why Atlanta continues to be one of America’s premier destinations for major events.

Proud to see Georgia helping lead the way as we prepare for an unforgettable World Cup experience.

Great to be with my friends Dene Sheheane, Wayne Dodd, Rep. Kati Dempsy, Dr. Lance Berry, Bert Reeves, Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera, and others at the Tellus Science Museum as they made one of their final stops on the Georgia Tech Alumni Summer Tour.

It was a meaningful afternoon as Georgia Tech President Cabrera honored the late Jon Osher, a proud Tech alumnus, with a posthumous honorary doctorate. Jon’s daughter Lori McClane and son-in-law Forest McClane were there to accept the recognintion.

Georgia Tech continues to be one of our state’s great assets, preparing the next generation of leaders, innovators, engineers, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers who will help shape Georgia’s future.

Proud to support Georgia Tech, its alumni, and the important role higher education plays in strengthening our workforce, our economy, and communities across our state.

I was proud to join my fellow Board members of the North Georgia State Fair this week for the third annual Superior Plumbing Presents North Georgia State Fair Scholarship & Grant Awards Dinner.

The NGS Fair is more than rides, exhibits, entertainment, and tradition. It is a year-round commitment to investing back into the community we all love.

This year, the Fair awarded a total of $655,000 to support students, nonprofit organizations, youth development, community service, and continued improvements at Jim R. Miller Park.

We were honored to recognize ten outstanding high school seniors for their academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to service: Abigail Amos, Jonathan Baker, Katherine “Katie Rose” Coleman, McKayla Davis, Jada Emenalo, Olivia Hathcock, Karma Kilfoyle, Kaitlyn Ku, Samantha Kayley Lewis, and Robert Warren.

We were also proud to support many incredible nonprofit organizations that serve Cobb families every day, including MUST Ministries, LiveSafe Resources, The Center for Family Resources, The Extension, Inc., Cobb Collaborative, Simple Needs GA, Special Needs Cobb, The Strand Theatre, and many others doing meaningful work across our county.

In addition, the Fair contributed $200,000 to Cobb County Government for continued improvements at Jim R. Miller Park, helping ensure this property remains a premier community asset for future generations.

A special thank you to Jay Cunningham and Superior Plumbing, Jim Drew and Drew Exposition, Ike Reighard and Piedmont Church, our scholarship and grant committees, and everyone who helped make this evening such a success.

Serving on the Board of Directors for the North Georgia State Fair for over a decade is an honor. It reflects what I believe public service and community leadership should be about: investing in our students, supporting those who serve others, strengthening local partnerships, and helping build a brighter future for Cobb County. We accomplish that because of everyone's support of our Fair!

Congratulations to all of this year’s scholarship and grant recipients.
