Thanks to the leadership of Paran Homes-Southeast New Home Builder in partnership with Evans General Contractors, our build project at Peace Place Inc. is getting closer to the finish line! Here’s a look at some recent interior progress photos as this special project continues to progress.

A special thank you to Dalton Carpet One Floor & Home, Flooring Design Group, Global Homes Products, Samsung, Shaw, and Southeastern Appliances for generously donating or discounting labor and materials to help move this project forward.

Once complete, this build will add 32 additional beds for single moms and women fleeing domestic violence, creating a safe place for healing, hope, and a fresh start.

On Friday, 47 volunteers from David Weekley Homes rolled up their sleeves to support Calvary Children’s Home with a transformative HomeAid Care Day. Volunteers painted several bathrooms, installed new shower stalls and mirrors, landscaped, built picnic tables, and constructed a large new storage shelving unit for donations.

As Calvary Children's Home celebrates 60 years of providing children in Metro Atlanta with a safe, loving Christian environment and the support they need to thrive, we’re grateful for partners who help make spaces brighter and more functional for the children they serve.

We recently completed our first site visit with The Place at their campus in Cu***ng and we're excited to work with this amazing organization.

The Place is celebrating 50 years of service! We're inspired by the impact they continue to make for vulnerable and at-risk neighbors in Forsyth and Dawson counties. HomeAid is looking forward to bringing volunteers out this August for a Care Day focused on demo, landscaping, and campus beautification projects.

Why does HomeAid Georgia Board Member Heather Bounds support HomeAid?

Heather has been in the pest control industry since 2006, serving in serving in key roles with the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and Home Builders Association of Georgia. She was named GAHBA Associate of the Year in 2009 and received the Lewis Cenker Award in 2024 while continuing to support builders and contractors across the Southeast through Northwest Exterminating.

We're honored to support Bridge Builder Communities and their mission to serve young adults transitioning out of foster care in Augusta, GA. This tiny home project will provide safe housing and valuable resources to help young adults build a stronger future.

Over 509,000 essential items distributed across Georgia! 💙

This year’s HomeAid Georgia Essentials Drive, presented by Precision Stoneworks, was our most impactful yet.

For the first time in the drive’s history, Essentials Teams came together to raise funds for us to purchase items at wholesale pricing — stretching every dollar even further. Because of the generosity of our donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, we doubled our distribution this year!

On May 8, HomeAid Georgia’s parking lot transformed into a hub of hope, service, and community as volunteers helped distribute baby diapers, pull-ups, wipes, adult underwear, and feminine hygiene products to 41 nonprofit organizations serving families across Georgia. Resources are already reaching communities in Albany, Augusta, Athens, and beyond.
