That's the question driving our new series, JESUS for President.

Each week, you get to vote on the topic. We'll put two issues head-to-head, and the one with the most votes becomes that week's sermon. Your voice shapes the conversation.

New text from your church: we need you at Pride.

Atlanta Pride is October 10 and 11, and Collective ATL will be at our booth all weekend. We'll be making bracelets, handing out stickers and telling everyone who walks by that God's radical, unconditional love is for them.

That's a lot of hellos, so we need more hands. You don't need any experience. Just show up, grab some sunscreen and bring your brightest sunglasses. Bring a friend too.

Religion has a long history of walking away from the very people Jesus deliberately walked toward. During our National Coming Out Day service, Rev. Dr. Christy Perez shared her search for the God she had been warned about, only to find a Savior who fully embraces our LGBTQ community. If you have ever felt condemned by "respectable" religion, her message serves as a reminder that Christ reserves his harshest words for those who make the divine harder to reach.

Visibility matters. Every time someone gets to stand up in church as their whole self, it gets a little easier for the next person to do the same.

This Sunday at 5pm, we're marking National Coming Out Day with Community Worship and kicking off Atlanta Pride at 743 Virginia Ave NE.

Out, figuring it out, or showing up as an ally, there's a seat for you.

On a recent Wednesday night we broke out the paint palettes and put what we believe on paper, from "God's radical and unconditional love is for you" to "embrace all of the messy moments." Each card came out as unique as the person who painted it.
