Mother’s Day didn’t need grand plans or loud moments to feel special. It was hidden in the little things… watching my husband move through the house with love in his hands, fixing things without being asked, making space for beauty, peace, and growth all around us.

He took down the birdhouse that had been outgrown, drilled holes into my plant pot so my plants could finally breathe, drain, and thrive the way they were meant to. Even something as simple as cleaning up an abandoned bird nest somehow turned into a memory I’ll hold onto. I ended up taking the nest down myself, and we laughed through the evening together like two best friends building a life one small moment at a time.

Sometimes love isn’t roses and giant gestures. Sometimes it’s dirt on your hands, tools on the porch, birds singing in the distance, and a man quietly trying to make your world softer.

As a mother, I spend so much time pouring into everyone else. Today reminded me how beautiful it feels to be poured into too. 🤍
