Athens Steel Building is a professional, pre-engineered metal building manufacturer that has been family owned and operated in Athens, Texas since 1976. We manufacture high quality metal structures for a variety of commercial and residential uses including: barns, mini-warehouses, offices, shopping centers, churches, pavilions, airplane hangars and more. From start to finish, our experienced team will work with you to deliver a finished product that is customized to your needs and meets all state and local building codes. Our in-house design team is extremely versatile and will deliver an economical, attractive, functional, and unique design to you. We fabricate all buildings in our Athens, Texas facility and then deliver to your site using our company trucks to cut down on expenses or you may arrange for pick-up using your own trucks. Buildings can either be erected by one of our experienced erection crews or provided materials only for you to erect - whichever way works best for you.

Every building we quote goes across his desk, and he takes the time to make sure every piece is accounted for. His tip for anyone getting a building? Pick your colors early. If they aren't selected by the time your project heads to drafting, it can affect production times.
When he's not in the office, you'll find him in his garden or at the pool table. Jason plays professional pool, so it's safe to say precision comes naturally.

Meet Rufus, our Shop Foreman! 🤠
Rufus has been with ASB for about 17 years, and he knows this shop inside and out. Every new project starts the same way for him: checking the poundage first. The total weight of steel in a job tells him a lot about what's ahead, from how much material the crew will be working with to how to plan the shop's time and keep everything moving on schedule.
Outside of work, Rufus spends his time tending to his bucking bulls at McGuffey Buckers. 🐂 And here's a fun fact: when he was younger, he traveled the country as a professional bullfighter. Safe to say not much on the shop floor rattles him!
