• Cassidy and I met a year ago in a marketing club, and she made sure to save me a seat when we had our first class together in the spring. Her kindness and gentle spirit are beautifully shown through her gorgeous smile. But, the crazy thing is that her heart is even more beautiful than she is! Thank you, Cassidy, for spending some time with me in 40° weather to snap some grad photos! You’re going big places, my girl! @ University of Georgia

• Flowers peak out of the weirdest places, sometimes. Cracks in sidewalks, narrow alleys, and pastures full of weeds try to limit them. They are surrounded, crushed, and cornered, but they bloom right where their seed was dropped. This can be paralleled to our Walk with the Lord. At times, we feel like the sides are closing in and the enemy has his toe-hold on our lives. Despite this, continue to choose to bloom in that season, that crack in the pavement, and in that situation. The Lord will guide.

• This is a community with wide-open arms and limitless adventures. Coming to RUF for the first time in January was a big step for me. Though I’m mostly an extrovert, I still have a big part of me that’s introverted. I walked into a room of over 200 people that I didn’t know, and they let me get involved right away. I’m so grateful for God’s sovereignty in giving me a new community of people to do life with in Athens. Don’t be afraid of stepping outside of what you know in order to grow more into the person He made you to be.

• A thing I love about taking pictures is the emotion behind them. As a pretty unemotional human, (YES, I get excited quickly, but I’m not really a crier) I think there’s beauty in seeing it through different lenses. Literally. Facial expressions show most of it, and I think these pictures really showed the beautiful father-daughter relationship that led to this moment. @ McGuire's Millrace Farm

• More flowers?? Of course! Can’t you tell that they’re one of my most favorite things? These were “weeds” from the countryside in Germany. My aunt picked them, my cousin (a professional florist) arranged them, and they decorated the picnic tables at the summer festival my aunt held in her courtyard. Lots of vibrant greens and textures.

• Hard work and diligence aren’t things you can purchase along with your textbooks and colored gel pens. They’re carved at a young age and molded through trials. Alexis Bevill has fought to always push herself through each challenge. Her amazing work ethic and resilience helped propel her into an exceptional program in UGA’s Pharmacy school. Needless to say that this girl is going to continue climbing higher, and I am SO proud of her. ❤️

• This is the dog who was found wandering in an Atlanta neighborhood and pulled in by animal control as a 12 week old puppy. He was rescued by a phenomenal organization called Atlanta Lab Rescue, and then they chose us to be his new family. His gray beard, whitened paws, and spotted eyebrows show wisdom and age, but he will still chase you around the living room to play with his fluffy tiger. We are so thankful for our Berkley. 10 years with him has been a HUGE blessing, and we are so excited for as much time as the Lord will give us with him in the future!

• We had a blast getting some senior portraits around downtown Lilburn yesterday! I’ve known Crawf since he was in 5th grade, so it’s bittersweet seeing this little bro grow up now! @ Lilburn, Georgia

• I see wilted petals, discolored pieces, and an imperfect flower. The Lord sees beauty, promise, and a life that is blossoming in His plans for it. What if we stopped seeing ourselves through our own insecurities, and what if we, instead, saw ourselves in the way that God identifies us? Holy, beloved, and sanctified.

• While in Germany, most of my cousins only spoke German. I was super thankful for the ones that spoke some English with me! But what I realized was that there are some things that language can’t separate. Smiles, hugs, gestures, and meals shared with my family didn’t require conversation. There was a deeper understanding of how much we enjoyed being around each other, and that didn’t need words. My little cousin Jakob didn’t speak any English, but we still played for hours in the yard and shared a lot of laughter together. Language doesn’t have to separate us.

• When the water guns come out, jumping off the dock turns into a friendly competition! Berkley is the official judge, but he was more interested in fishing for brim.
