Why do you give? For Emily, Canopy is place for her, in her 70s, to have started something new to build strength and flexibility with both her body and my mind.
For October, our goal is to find sponsors for 50 square feet of our new space to better support Emily and all of our students to continue to grow.
One square foot is $125. Will you help today? Donate through the link in our profile.
And we know this is a difficult season and not everyone is financially able to give. Please consider sharing Emily’s (or your) story! All donations, no matter the size, make a tremendous difference! We have so much gratitude to all who have given in various ways already - financially, sharing our story, and volunteering, and more. None of what we do could happen without you.

“I suppose I thought that the same resilience, grit, and stick-to-it-ness that make circus people chase the next trick, (after all, we regularly do things even when they hurt, even when we know we’re going to wake up the next day with a bruise) would somehow magically make the building happen on time”

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing, so on this farewell tour of sorts, as we say goodbye to the studio on Tracy Street and move into our new purpose-built studio, we decided to do one last community hurrah!
The Farewell Show is Saturday, September 12 at 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Tickets are available through the link in our profile!
This one’s for the community - guest artists, students, and other community members will perform acts featuring dance trapeze, invented equipment, pole, spoken word, and more!
