"Moroder Metal" band based in Athens, Georgia.
Formed at the edge of the new millennium, Maserati is as sleek, sexy and sophisticated as the legendary Italian sports car it takes its name from. It is fitting, then, that the band has dragged the glory years of psychedelic arena rock kicking and screaming into the 21st Century, with the pomposity (and vocals) carefully removed. In its place are white hot flashes of light pulsing to an unstoppable rhythm that makes us want to punch air and drive really fast in a car with wings instead of doors.

Recently discovered photos from Maserati's first show ever in June 2000 at the Above Bookstore in Athens, GA.
DC band The Vertebrates opened the show. Mike and Bee from Vertebrates would go on to form the band Antelope a few years after this.

We've been working on a film score for over two years. It has been incredible to approach songwriting in a completely different way that is challenging but ultimately very rewarding. It is by far the most amount of music we've written at one time in our 25 years as a band. We are so thrilled to be advancing towards the finish line and stoked to share it in 2026.
