Sometimes we find wildlife in the outside area at our emergency shelter, and have a chance to talk to the children staying with us about how beautiful the outdoors can be! 🦎

Yesterday evening we celebrated with several other wonderful organizations, including some of our closest partner organizations, at the Junior League of Athens Mini-Grants Celebration. Thank you to our friends at Crossroads Community Church for their donation of all things baby in honor of Mother's Day! Any parent knows how expensive these items can be, and we are so grateful for assistance in providing high quality items to the new mothers who stay with us.

Sometimes the simplest images speak the loudest, and this canvas painted by a survivor for our Through an Open Window gallery is no exception. The survivors we work with show exceptional strength in their battle for safety, and we're proud to be here to support them!

For many survivors of domestic violence, it's a long and steep climb to escape from their abusers and sometimes the top seems unreachable. In those moments, Project Safe is here to lend a hand and help survivors find the inner strength to keep pushing because the view from the top is worth the struggle.
