Fix Your Own Bike is tonight from 6PM-8:30PM. $10/hr suggested donation. Link in bio for what to expect.

Every Thursday night we help people fix their bikes. Just roll your bike in and tell us what is going on. Tonight is the last FYOB session before tomorrow's Murder Mystery Joy Ride.

Programming Notes: Tonight's soundtrack will feature full album plays from Tame Impala - Deadbeat (2025), Automatic - Is It Now? (2025), and The Wytches - Talking Machine (2025).

All bikes are welcome.

Too much rain! No ride tomorrow, August 6th. We'll re-try the following week, see updated event.

No social ride on July 16.
Several regulars (including myself) won't be around, so we decided to skip this coming week. We plan to ride again the following week.

March 19th SORBA Athens Board Meeting

We are over-due for a board meeting. Since we like to be both efficient and informal, we decided to have this meeting directly after the social ride on Wednesday in the Heritage Park parking lot 😄. Anyone is welcome to join.

If for some reason (I can't think of a good one) you don't want to ride but still want to participate in the board meeting, we'll probably be done riding around 7.30pm, so meet us then. But really, who would want to skip the ride? (If you can't make 6pm, we can figure out a way to meet us on the trail).

March 19th SORBA Athens Social Ride

For the upcoming ride, we plan to head to Heritage Park:

We plan to carpool. We'll pull out at from Bradshaw's house at 5.30pm, and plan to be at Heritage Park ready to ride at 6pm. We can also pick up folks on the way at 5.45pm at Nations Church.

As always, this is a no-drop ride, we'll adjust the pace. We think we'll be done before it gets dark, but if you want, bring a light just in case.

If you want to carpool/get picked up, please reply in the comments. We'll only stop at Nations Church if we know someone will be waiting there for us.

**Starting time for weekly SORBA social rides**

Now that we are about to have more daylight, we could change the starting time (in summer, we probably want a later time anyway to help with the heat).

Question: What is everyone's preferred starting time for the rides? Both for in-town rides and those that require some driving (30-45min, e.g. Heritage Park or Ft. Yargo). We plan to resume some of the latter ones shortly.

**March 12th Social Ride**

Coming Wednesday, March 12, will be the first ride after the change to DST, so we got more daylight! We’ll explore the Lake Herrick trails. Meet at the back parking lot (next to the UGA band practice field) at 5.30pm: https://maps.app.goo.gl/eaE1sR2GfYUjjNyU7

Bring a helmet, water and if needed, a snack. No need for lights. As always, this is a no-drop ride. We'll adjust the pace and take breaks to ensure everyone can keep up.

**Wednesday SORBA Social Ride.**

Join us this Wednesday, October 30, for our last 'regular' SORBA-Athens social ride of the year. With the impeding move to Standard Time, we won't be able to do normal evening rides anymore. We plan to do the occasional night (or more accurately, dark) ride, but it won't be on a regular weekly schedule. Those will of course be announced here.
