Project Homebound - Athens, GA

Pretty girl Bo is still available. She is so smart and LOVES to play. 🐾

Bo is easy to pass by at the shelter, and that might be why she has been in the shelter system since last November 😭, but she’s a catch if someone would give her a chance. She proved it to me on our outing to the Marigold Market this weekend. A 6-year-old mixed breed girl (some Belgian Malinois, we think..), she has some typical traits of that breed. Bo is smart (aka. very trainable), high-energy, and just loves to play! Her only complaint was not being able to run loose and join this game of ball. I also spied her casting rather lustful glances at an abandoned frisbee. Bo is extremely sociable and affectionate, too. We met tons of children and she lapped up alllll their attention. No such thing as too many hands on her! She will make a terrific companion for a family. She was an angel getting to and from the park, content to sit in the back seat of my truck and look out the window. Bo is a graduate 🎓 of #projecthomebound - she breezed through the standard training given there. This means that her adopter will get two free sessions with the PHB trainer, to help her settle into a new home. Bo – available now to Rescue, Foster, or Adopt. 6 years old Female – spayed! Friday Fun! Despite the heat we had a great morning training in the shade. The pups had lots of love and treats for a job well done. (Not all dogs pictured)

For more information about these dogs please go to accgov.com then to Departments then Animal Services. For a limited time it is only $50 to adopt a Project Homebound Dog. Upon graduation they are fully trained, up to date on shots, spayed or neutered. Athenspets also sponsors two private lessons done in your home with the trainer. This helps for an easy transition and to show the adopter how to continue working with their dog.

Success story! Queen has been adopted and is well on her way to being spoiled. She is now Daisy and already loves her brother Milo. Happiness all around. It was love at first sight with her family and she jumped right in the jeep as if she knew she was going home. 🐾❤️

Charm is all smiles because it’s Monday and that means a new week of training. This girl might be smaller but she is so full of love and is a quick learner. In just a couple of weeks she should be ready for adoption. 🐾
