For their last day of Back to School Spirit Week, Lower School students and staff enjoyed an exciting Science Spectacular Assembly! Our Science Hero, Claire, manipulated dry ice, demonstrating its amazing effects by creating bubbles using soap and dry ice. She also demonstrated the effects of forced air on toilet paper and hair and used a bicycle pump to create clouds in a bottle. Student volunteers shared the excitement by helping with a variety of exciting experiments demonstrating physical and chemical changes of matter. 🔬⚗⚛

Last week, Mrs. Carly, Cooper’s Poynt Principal, presented two hard-working students with perfect attendance awards! Congratulations to both students for doing such a great job! We are Archway Proud of both of you! 🏆🏅

The Lower School staff dressed up like Mr. Ron to celebrate National Custodian Day. They presented him with a gift to show their appreciation for all he does for them. Thank you, Mr. Ron, for everything!

🍂 A little fall surprise was waiting for Ms. Jessica and her students yesterday! While they were outside enjoying the playground, someone snuck into their classroom and scattered leaves everywhere! 🍁 The students had so much fun exploring the leaves, practicing their fine motor skills, and using clothespins to hang them on our classroom clothesline. It was a fun, hands-on fall activity full of learning and laughter! 🍂❤️

Today, we celebrate School Custodian Day, a special day to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our custodial staff. Thank you, Mr. Ron, Mr. James, and Mr. Jose, for setting up assemblies and then breaking them down, oiling squeaky parts, and tightening the loose ones. Thanks for moving furniture, boxes, and bags, and for clearing the way when it snows. Thank you for cleaning up our messes, keeping k***s turning, and keeping the lights shining! 🤗 💙

Lower School students in Ms. Dee's class took their first Community-Based Instruction (CBI) trip to Veterans Memorial Park! During the outing, the students practiced leisure and community skills by exploring the park, enjoying the outdoors, and participating in activities that promoted independence, socialization, and positive decision-making in their community. 🏞🌳🍂🍁🏞️

Yesterday, Ms. Tapria from Cooper’s Poynt shared her skills by teaching an interested young student how to braid hair. The activity was fun and hands-on, while also teaching valuable life skills.

Students in Miss Alexa’s Archways Early Learning class learned about apples today! After exploring this delicious fruit, the students used apples to create stamps for painting. It was a fun, creative, hands-on learning experience, and everyone had a fantastic time! 🍎🍏🎨🖌

The Advanced Abilities Day Program held a fun game of Fall Bingo, where participants matched pictures of autumn-themed items instead of numbers. Everyone had a fantastic time, and even though there were prizes available, all our friends were winners today. 🏆🏵️
