It seems there has been a little snafu with Dominique's Facebook account, and she is currently unable to access it. We're hoping it's just a temporary issue and that she'll have everything sorted out soon.

In the meantime, please be patient if you don't receive a response from her right away. We will continue to keep everyone updated through the group as needed.

It’s been a while since we’ve done a $5 Friday post, but unfortunately we’ve been busy helping some very sick and injured dogs in need.

We currently have several dogs recovering in our hurricane container because the damage from a fallen tree destroyed part of our fence and kennel area, leaving us with limited space.

If you’re able to spare $5 (or any amount), it will help us continue providing medical care, food, and shelter for these deserving dogs.

When it rains, it pours.
Another injured dog. A tourist contacted us 2 days ago about this mom and her puppies. She has an injury and one pup was limping we were told. We looked for them yesterday to no avail. Went back today and found the mom after our second sweep. I contacted Kerry Perry who was able to capture her and bring her to us. There were no puppies around. One puppy had already been missing yesterday and the other one is gone. People do take the puppies home so hopefully that is what happened. We will go back to look for them. For now, this injured mama is here, safe with us with a nice bed, meds, food and shelter. She will be going to see Dr. Smythe in Hopewell tomorrow.

Here is Teddy, getting used to 3 legs. He is such a sweet loving young male, approximately 2 years old. He is getting along well with the other dogs, doesn’t do his business in the container, goes out to do it, loves to talk to Les especially lol. Teddy would love a home of his own. He has been neutered and vaccinated and is on the way to healing.
