We walk in markets, full of gluttony. Every impulse being desired. We call them "Malls". Young women still under care of their parents flaunt the natural curves of the body with the minimal amount of clothing. Young men wondering about idlily, waiting to be ensnared by passions. We are acting like beasts with no self control. Most assuredly, there is something broken.

We live as pilgrims, traveling on towards Glory. This day begins the documenting of decline in our society

The Lord sends affliction to us for our good. Mainly, that we might die to self on the cross and raise to new life with Him in all things. Unfortunately, sometimes we hang and suffer longer than need be due to pride. Put that which is earthly in you to death.

The Christian life is one of conflict. Conflict between Christ in us and the World. Christ in us and our flesh. There is a Holy War that you are in as you progress on your pilgrimage. Therefore, put to death what is earthly in you.

If we have the Holy Spirit, let Him make us Holy as He is. Let Him apply Christ’s benefits such as Redemption, Adoption, Sanctification, and Union with our older Brother and King, Christ Himself. That is the Holy Spirits work.

Prayer is the breath from which the Christian draws strength.
