From ground to structure—this build is flying up.

Built this slab with purpose.

This was a monolithic pour, designed specifically to avoid disturbing the existing tree root systems on site. Instead of over-excavating and risking long-term damage to the landscape, we engineered a solution that keeps the structure solid while respecting what’s already here.

Graded, formed, reinforced, and poured in one continuous operation — minimizing impact, maximizing strength.

Poured a full monolithic slab today and beat the rain doing it. 💪🌧️

Started from the ground up with a solid chert pad topped with 4” of compacted gravel to get it right before the first drop hit. Formed out a 12x18 footer and loaded it up with rebar in just about every place imaginable—no shortcuts on this one.

This pour also serves as a structural base for a 10’x8’ safe room built to last: concrete ceiling overhead, CMU walls, 8’ rebar, cavity’s filled and a steel door locking it all in.
