It was heartbreaking to see these large black walnut trees all broken off. This horizontal limb was the largest hung up limb I’ve ever dealt with. It is perfectly balanced and sunk into the crotch of this tree.

The day doesn’t end at the last cut, it ends when the equipment is ready to go another day.

Today’s trees definitely raised the difficulty level.

The limbs were larger, the rigging was more technical, and there were plenty of obstacles below—including a fence that somehow survived the day without a scratch! 😀 I couldn’t be more proud of the guys who volunteered their time.

For never having rigged tree limbs before, they listened, learned quickly, and did an incredible job. They made challenging work look easy.

I’m grateful for everyone who has stepped up these past few days. Seeing people willing to give their time and effort to help complete strangers has been inspiring.

One tree at a time, we’re helping make our community a little safer.

Our community has been hit hard by this week’s tornado, and many families are facing the overwhelming task of cleaning up damaged trees.

Kevin is spending today helping with tree cleanup and hopes to continue offering tree removal services at no cost to those affected for as long as he’s able.

I caught up with Alex Walsh of DuraShield Roofing and Contracting today to help remove dangerous tree limbs on Doty Island.

Despite the amount of damage, spirits were high. What stood out most was watching neighbors help neighbors. The outpouring of support was incredible—food and water stations were everywhere, and people kept bringing me water and sandwiches as I moved from one job site to the next.

Everyone pulled together as one team, and I ended up with the biggest ground crew I’ve ever had—all volunteers. It’s a reminder that even after a devastating storm, the strength of a community can shine through.

I will be out offering free service tomorrow after 10am. Please let me know which areas need the most help. I will be looking for the spots that need trees climbed.
