💙 Meet Your Neighbor at Eagle Point: Bob & Mil Herder! 💙

We’re excited to introduce you to Bob and Mil Herder, who have called Eagle Point home since January of this year! 🏡

Bob and Mil made the move from their home in Appleton after touring four other communities. In the end, they knew Eagle Point was the best fit for them!

One of the biggest draws was Chaplain Peter. Peter and Bob belong to the same parish, and Bob is an Emeritus Bishop, making that connection especially meaningful to them. They were also drawn to our beautiful waterview location! 🌊

When asked what they love most about Eagle Point, Bob and Mil both agree—the staff! Mil says, “Everyone here is so friendly and appreciative.” They also enjoy the variety of activities, from our speaker series to all the different live music performances. Mil summed it up perfectly: “Many choices!” 🎶

And Bob has to add one more favorite—the food! 🍽️ His favorites include our homemade soups made each day and the cranberry almond salad with either chicken or shrimp. Bob says, “Our friends love coming over and having lunch with us!”

Family is also a very important part of Bob and Mil’s lives. They have two children: Steve, who is a pastor in California, and Ann, their daughter who lives right here in town. Mil says, “They are such blessings to us!” ❤️

We’re so happy Bob and Mil chose to make Eagle Point their home and are grateful to have them as part of our community!

A Little School Spirit from Eagle Point! ❤️

Today, Eagle Point Senior Living had the joy of delivering the school supplies our residents donated to Edison Elementary School!

Edison holds a special place in our hearts because of our Grand Buddies program, where Eagle Point residents are paired with students. Throughout the year, our Grand Buddies get together to visit, write letters, share stories, and enjoy all kinds of fun activities together.

So when we had the opportunity to help stock the school with supplies, our residents were happy to pitch in and support the students who have become such an important part of our Eagle Point family.

It’s a wonderful reminder that when generations connect, everyone has something to give—and something to gain.

Thank you to our Eagle Point residents for helping make this donation possible, and to Edison Elementary for welcoming us into your school community!

Eagle Point Senior Living had a wonderful outing to see something pretty special happening in our community—Paint the City students bringing a historic building to life with a massive mural!

The students are painting on the side of Spats Bar & Restaurant, a local landmark that has been around since 1985. Even more fascinating, the building itself dates all the way back to 1922! Talk about a canvas with a story.

Artist Neo Medina is guiding 20 talented students and 4 staff members through this ambitious project. Rooted in youth empowerment, Paint the City gives young artists the opportunity to create, collaborate, take ownership, and make their mark—literally—on their community.

Our residents loved watching the creativity unfold and seeing young people transform a blank wall into something vibrant and meaningful. What a wonderful intersection of art, history, community, and generations! ❤️🎨

Today, Helanie and Carol stopped by for a return tour and had the opportunity to visit Pat's apartment. They shared how helpful it was to sit down with a resident and have an honest, face-to-face conversation about life at Eagle Point.

They asked wonderful questions about our dining experience, the difference between independent living and assisted living, activities, nursing services, and so much more. And Pat's answer said it all:

"I've lived here for 6 years, and I wouldn't still be living here if I didn't LOVE it!" 💙

From personalized welcomes to resident ambassadors on every floor, our community is here to help make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible. Our ambassadors are happy to answer questions, introduce new neighbors, and help residents feel right at home from day one.
