Street Music Week starts next Monday and our 501c3 affiliate organization, Creative Downtown Appleton, Inc. is proud to partner with Heid Music on their incredible event! This year, the event is benefiting Paint the City 5, a youth-focused public art project that uses mural-making, mentorship, and community connection to empower local students while creating a lasting piece of public art in Downtown Appleton. Over two weeks, artist Irineo Medina will work alongside 20 Appleton Area School District high school students and community members to design and paint a large-scale mural, teaching artistic skills, fostering positive connections, and highlighting the impact of art on individual and community well-being. Book lovers - this one's for you! Tomorrow, The Book Store is hosting their second annual Block of Books event! Meet 90+ local authors and hear more about their work across a variety of genres. You can also enjoy live poetry readings and kids story time. This FREE event is tomorrow, 11 am - 2 pm in the 800 block of West College Avenue in Downtown Appleton. Check out more details below.

We are ONE WEEK AWAY from the start of the Heid Music Summer Concert Series presented by U.S. Venture, Inc! 🎶🎸

Starting June 4, join us every Thursday night from 5:30–8:30 PM for FREE live music, food trucks, local craft vendors and ice cold drinks. From returning favorites to new bands hitting the stage, there’s something for everyone this season.

While you’re Downtown, be sure to check out the annual Memorial Day Parade, a meaningful community tradition honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The parade begins at 9 AM and travels through Downtown Appleton before concluding with a memorial ceremony at Riverside Cemetery.
