It was a spirited debate last night at the Marinette County Democratic Party monthly meeting. Thank you so much to the folks in Marinette for coming out to hear about our plan to cut taxes on working families and retirees while making the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share, slash healthcare premiums for families and employers, and create a sustainable economic lifeline for rural America. These are just a few of the positive, winning policies that will help us finally flip this district in November!

Throughout this campaign, we’ve stayed focused on defeating Tony Wied in the fall by talking about the issues that matter most to the people of this District. We’re grateful to be part of a contested Democratic primary because voters deserve a real choice, and we respect everyone who’s put themselves forward.

We hear from voters everyday how they recognize that our politics are broken and how they value a candidate who is committed to running a clean, positive, fresh campaign without poison and attacks. We don’t move our cause or our communities forward when we descend into personal attacks and that's why we’ve personally been committed to only talking about what our campaign stands for, not what others are doing. We trust the voters to make an informed decision on August 11th, and they deserve a campaign centered on ideas, solutions, and who is best prepared to win in November.

Wrapping up this week’s busy campaign schedule at the Appleton downtown farmers market! Over the past week, Mark volunteered at the Door County Dairy Breakfast where he personally engaged with more than a thousand rural voters, he dropped in at the Joel Brennan for Governor meet & greet, hustled across town for the Greenville Civic Club meeting, held a wonderful meet & greet at Hinterland Brewing in Ashwaubenon, attended the Waupaca County Democratic Party meeting in Manawa, toured the brand new Oneida Nation Cultural Center, held a meeting on renewable energy policy in downtown Appleton, attended the Brown County, Farm Bureau Federation meeting at UWGB, personally engaged with more than 500 more rural voters at the Kewanee County Fair and then wrapped up at the Appleton farmers market today!

We were honored to have an amazing tour of the be Oneida Nation Kahnekano·lú Cultural Center. This is a true gem for the Oneida Nation and Northeast Wisconsin. Please plan a visit to see this amazing space as soon as you can.

When Mark wins in November and is the 8ths new congressman, he has vowed to have staff members from the Oneida, Menominee, and/or the Stockbridge-Munsee.
