A massive congratulations are in order for Dr. Vrabec, who achieved an incredible physical and mental milestone this past weekend by successfully completing the Seattle to Portland (STP) Double Century ride.

It was a true family affair, as Dr. Vrabec tackled the grueling 200-mile course alongside his daughter and sister. Over the span of two days, the trio demonstrated remarkable stamina and dedication, covering over 100 miles each day to reach the finish line.

We are incredibly proud of their impressive accomplishment and the inspiring team spirit they displayed throughout the ride. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Valley Eye Associates and Pinnacle Cataract & Laser Institute recently welcomed a special visitor! Dr. Jordy Gil, an optometrist from El Fuerte, Mexico (Centro Óptico Integral), visited and shadowed our team for three weeks. Dr. Gil has been instrumental in the mission work Dr. Michael Vrabec has performed in El Fuerte over the last decade. Dr. Gil assists with patient recruitment, clinic screenings, and postop care. He came to Wisconsin to learn advanced cataract skills as well as keratoconus treatment care with Dr. Zachary Makal and Dr. Angela Rodriguez. Thank you again for visiting, Dr. Gil, we hope you enjoyed your time in Appleton!
