Was Bhangra the easiest choice for a solo performance? Absolutely not.
Was I going to let that stop me from dancing? Also absolutely not.
My group couldn’t make it to this event, so I went solo with Morni and made it work!
I have a little promise to myself: never leave an opportunity to dance.
Because honestly, dance isn’t just something I do. It’s my lifeline.

An asana is more than a shape your body makes. In this 3-part Asana Foundation Series, we’ll look at each pose through three lenses: the body, the spine ,breath and energy.
Three sessions. Three Saturdays. A deeper understanding of your practice.

What exactly is Pranayama?
Before we talk about breathing techniques, it is important to understand the words themselves: Prana and Ayama.
In this short excerpt, I share the traditional understanding of Prana and what Pranayama actually means in the yogic tradition.
A simple introduction to a practice that is often reduced to “breathing exercises,” but has a much deeper place in yoga.
Behind the scenes of creating my next workshop-Asana Foundation.
A lot of reading, revisiting old books, making notes and figuring out what is actually useful to include.

As a traditional yoga teacher, my mission is helping people understand that yoga is beyond the physical practice.
We spoke about the foundations of yoga, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, and the meaning of Sthira Sukham Asanam.
Yoga begins with the body, but it does not end there. At its heart, it is a practice of working with the mind.
Sharing a small part of that conversation here.
A practical workshop for beginners, seasoned yoga practitioners, and even yoga teachers who want to deepen their understanding of asana, alignment, and what is actually happening in the body.
A new workshop for anyone who wants to understand yoga poses beyond simply getting into the shape.
Whether you’re new to yoga, have been practicing for a while, or are a teacher looking to deepen your understanding, this is an opportunity to build a stronger foundation for your practice and teaching.
Learn the what, why, and how of Asana.

“I was awake, holding on to be awake.”
I asked a student today how she would describe her Yoga Nidra experience.
That was her answer.
She came in tired and tense after a restless night. During the practice, she noticed her breathing change. She held onto my voice and allowed herself to be guided through the practice.
At the end, she said:
“Something has shifted.”
This is the real, unedited conversation immediately after today’s Yoga Nidra session.
Sometimes an experience is easier to feel than to explain.
A new workshop.
To deepen your yoga practice.
Or to start your practice with the right foundation.
