With every new year comes lots of reflection, and in mine, something has become abundantly clear- I need a break. I can’t say for sure if/when I’ll bring back Mama B, but I am “hanging up my headphones” for now. 🎧

Continuing to pursue music in this capacity just doesn’t align for me anymore, and it hasn’t for a while now. Music will always be a core part of who I am, I just need to step away from it professionally for now as it’s become more of an obligation than a passion, and that’s unsustainable.

I may find my way back, but I’d have to reconnect with the work on a personal level again first. And if I do, there’s a chance I’ll share a project here and there on Soundcloud, but it won’t be advertised/promoted, so you’ll just have to find it yourself or let it find you if it’s meant to.

Mama B socials will stay up for now, but will be generally inactive for the foreseeable future. I’m not ready to close the door on this entirely just yet, though.

Mama B may be back, or she may not. I may find my way back in a different form, or I may not. Right now, the uncertainty feels right. No expectations. No pressure.

Im so grateful for every single one of you who has supported me throughout my journey as Mama B, and I hope it was as fun for you as it was me. This certainly isn’t goodbye, as many of our connections go beyond the music; it’s just the end of a chapter. May we meet again in the next one ♥️
