First English Lutheran Church - Appleton, WI

This Sunday, Aug. 16, is Hymn Sing Sunday at the First English Downtown Site. At the 9 a.m. service, worship participants can shout out the titles of their favorite hymns for us to sing from the cranberry-colored ELW hymnal. Music will be led by Erich Knapp from the piano in the front of the sanctuary. Come and join the fun!

📚 Last Call for School Supplies!

This Sunday, Aug. 16, is the final day to donate school supplies for Edison Elementary. While any school supply donation is appreciated, the school's greatest needs are glue sticks, wide-ruled spiral notebooks, 24-count crayons, black dry-erase markers, and Crayola Classic Colors markers.

Donations can be placed in the collection box in the Gathering Area at the Downtown Site. Thank you for helping local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn! ✏️🎒

Thank you to everyone who came out to shop with us over the weekend! With your help we were able to donate our sales revenue from Saturday to United Way-Fox Cities Tornado Recovery Effort!

🌎 Meet our ELCA Missionary, Rev. Dr. Carolyn Schneider!

First English joyfully sponsors Rev. Dr. Carolyn Schneider in her work as an ELCA missionary in Guyana, where she supports the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Guyana in strengthening training programs for lay leaders across its 43 congregations.

Carolyn will be visiting the North Site tomorrow for Wednesday Night Worship at 6:15 p.m. Join us for worship, then stick around afterward to meet Carolyn, hear a little about her work and say hello!
