Ayer recibimos nuevamente a algunos de nuestros exalumnos de ABS para una de nuestras tradiciones favoritas. ❤️🐾

Nuestros estudiantes de quinto grado hicieron preguntas muy reflexivas sobre temas como sus planes después de graduarse, futuras carreras y cómo el español les ha ayudado en la escuela, en sus trabajos y en la vida diaria. También hicieron preguntas más personales sobre amistades, la presión de grupo y lo que significa crecer. Las respuestas que recibieron fueron sinceras, profundas, divertidas y, en muchos momentos, realmente conmovedoras.

Una de las mejores partes de ABS es poder ver en quiénes se convierten nuestros estudiantes mucho después de salir de nuestras aulas. Nos sentimos muy orgullosos de haber sido parte de su camino. Nuestra misión siempre ha sido formar estudiantes bilingües, compasivos y con una mentalidad global, que lideren con curiosidad, orgullo y corazón — y ayer vimos esa misión hacerse realidad.

Nos encantó poder mostrarles nuestro nuevo edificio y nos emocionó mucho recibir una foto de ellos visitando el patio de recreo de nuestra antigua escuela. Algunas cosas pueden cambiar con los años, pero el sentido de comunidad, orgullo y conexión que hace especial a ABS sigue acompañando a nuestros estudiantes dondequiera que vayan.

🎓 ABS SENIORS — WE CAN’T WAIT TO WELCOME YOU BACK TOMORROW! 🎓

Tomorrow, we’ll be celebrating our graduating ABS seniors with one of our favorite traditions — the ABS Senior Visit. ❤️💙💚

When you arrive at Huntley Elementary School, you’ll check in at the front office before heading to the MPR, where current ABS students and staff will gather for a special Q&A panel with our seniors. You’ll introduce yourselves, share where life has taken you since ABS, talk about your future plans, and answer questions from our younger students about middle school, high school, and what comes next.

The Q&A portion is always one of the most meaningful parts of the day. There’s so much pride in the room as younger siblings and former teachers get to see just how much our seniors have grown. 🥹✨

After the panel, seniors, families, current staff, and alumni staff are then invited to enjoy cookies and refreshments in Room 134, followed by an optional tour of ABS’s new home inside the Huntley building.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who worked so hard to put together such an amazing end-of-the-year CARNAVAL. From planning and setup to running games, food, and activities — this event truly would not happen without you.

We were so happy to see such an amazing turnout from our families and community, and the beautiful weather made the night even more special. Time and time again, our ABS community jumps in wherever help is needed, and it never goes unnoticed.
