Dear friends, If you have not already heard, I experienced a non-paralyzing stroke on July 1st. After scans and other tests, I was released home on July 3rd.

Medications are the plan for now.
I do have lingering symptoms of numbness and side effects from the medications but I feel very fortunate to have not suffered serious complications.

The plan going forward includes simplifying my complex lifestyle.
This includes my counseling work with clients that I have thoroughly enjoyed throughout my very long professional career.

It has been a very difficult decision to make but I will discontinue providing VA CCN counseling during the foreseeable future.
I will miss the process and all the unique individuals I have worked with along the way. Most clients have been veterans but non - veteran clients are included here as well.

I have had a number of gratifying careers that have allowed me the opportunity of working with people from many walks of life. No one could have asked for a more satisfying professional life than the one I was fortunate enough to have had.

I do not know what the future holds for me but, if the fates allow, I will likely be involved, on some level, with counseling or coaching when the time is right.

Best of luck to all of the veteran and non - veteran clients and others I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with throughout the years. You will always be in my thoughts.
