❤️‍🔥 Rô Caphe is now short staffed.

And perhaps that’s not entirely a bad thing.

Sometimes when life gets busy, we’re so focused on moving forward that we forget to stop and look around. We become occupied with filling schedules, serving customers, solving problems, and chasing the next goal.

With fewer staff and a little more responsibility on my shoulders, I’ve unexpectedly gained something valuable: time to reflect.

Time to look deeper into Rô Caphe.

Time to ask myself what we’ve built, what we’ve learned, and what may have quietly been lost along the way.

As a business grows, it’s easy to focus on numbers, sales, and daily operations. But Rô Caphe was never created just to sell coffee and food. It was built around people, stories, culture, relationships, and a dream of creating a place where everyone feels welcome.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be spending more time listening, observing, and reconnecting with the heart of Rô Caphe. Looking at the small details. The customer experiences. The team culture. The values that brought us here in the first place.

Growth is important.

But sometimes the most important step forward is to pause, look back, and make sure we haven’t left behind the things that matter most.

❤️This past weekend, our café was filled with music, kindness, and people coming together for something bigger than themselves. We were honored to host Cyrus and fellow Lawrence University students as they shared their talents to help raise awareness and support for Pillars, Inc.

As immigrants, small business owners, students, families, and community members, we all have different stories. But moments like these remind us that we are connected by compassion, generosity, and the desire to help one another.

Thank you to Cyrus and his team for taking the initiative to turn his passion for music into a way to serve the community. Thank you to Pillars, Inc. for the incredible work you do every day to support those facing housing insecurity and difficult times. And thank you to everyone who stopped by, listened, donated, shared a smile, or simply showed support.

At Rô Caphe, we believe a café is not just about coffee and food. It is about people. It is about creating a place where conversations happen, friendships are built, cultures are shared, and communities grow stronger together.
