Do you remember Buddy?

The broken South Carolina dog that was saved right before the winter storm and pretty rough shape. Well, here is an update of this boy who was so scared and gave up any hope that somebody would recognize that that he needed help

Because of the kindness of people in South Carolina including some of the amazing rescue people I got to no when I live there, to my dad reading about it while he was at the gym and just swinging by to see if the dogs was still there, he was. Dad and Delo offering him a safe place until things could get figured out and making the drive to meet the pilots, to Anjy to saying yes to fostering him, the amazing pilots I jumped up to help any way that they could in a very short amount of time.

Anjy and her family were so hard. Buddy would not come out from under beds and it took a while for him even to be brave enough to go down the stairs and know that people were safe. He was with them a long time. He then was found by the most perfect human for him. She had friends that were healers that helped him through this and she also built his confidence.

Yes this took a very long time. But what an amazing outcome.

I just heard from his adopter Paula with an update on his confidence and how well it is going. He is going back up north and by the look on his face he cannot wait

Also with concerns of muscle damage due to the severe wound to his shoulder and neck we weren't sure that we would be able to actually build muscle on that side. Well make sure to make notice of his physique.

We know a lot of people followed his journey. So here is an update to make you smile today.

I wanted to do an update on the situation

No we have not forgotten about it. Some cases take longer than others to figure out

We have an amazing connection to someone who works with animals in the area that the dog resides. She is willing to meet with this dog to find out what the facts are behind the issues that this dog is having and if she is safe to rehome or if the aggressive behavior is deemed dangerous

So as we do everything humanly possible to work with people to figure out the best option, things just don't happen overnight. Some of these cases are a lot more work than people can imagine. Finding the right answers and the right people to step up and work with us to find these answers

We are not just a rescue but we are advocates and why we take the time to invest in each case that comes to our attention to the best of our ability.

Since we are surrounded by so many amazing people that have the education to help assist in these cases, we are able to offer these opportunities. This is obviously shelters, rescues, trainers and veterinarians all together making this work.

So please be patient with us while we are able to get in contact with the individual who actually has the dog to set up an appointment for this assessment.

The individual with the knowledge of the situation will maintain safety of herself and the animal but with the knowledge of the severity of the situation.

We will update as soon as we hear something and get something to work as to the outcome.

Our job is not only to keep these dogs safe but the people who invest their love in them as well.

Looking for an emergency Foster asa or rehome

The excess threatening to call animal control to have the dog removed and as we know extra large breeds do not do well in the shelter.

To make things worse she is an 8-year-old. She is a senior for her breed.

Yes she is currently in a home with another dog and a cat. No its not too late as of right now.

We certainly have to get this dog moved as soon as possible to make sure that this does not happen. If you are interested in fostering please reach out immediately. Thank you

We have a rehome situation with somebody that has experience. It sounds like this dog is really struggling moving into a new and smaller environment. This is not something to take lightly although environment change can be all the dog needs we need to keep in mind that there will be work involved

Please don't comment if the situation is breaking your heart but please do comment if you know of a way to assist.

Cases like this are sensitive and require someone who knows what they are dealing with. We also know the outcome of a dog that is already fearful and has aggressive triggers although he's never bit anyone, going to the shelter would be an immediate fail.

No my stepmom and 2 older kids lost thier home in the tornado 😢 😞 my mom who fostered dogs of all kinds out in AZ pasted away in June 2 months ago 😞😢 I have been having a very hard past few months hes so loving i dont know why hes getting this way all of a sudden and seems to getting worse idk if it's because he's always lived in a big house with a big yard that he could run around outside and lots of space and now he doesn't and like I said he's gotten out off the leash a few times and there was dogs and people and kids out all over and he's never bit any people or dogs but im too nervous and my anxiety is horrible to try to have him meet other people or a dog to see what he would do like I said my mom always did that stuff but she's no longer with us 😔 and then the landlord issue saying that he's got to go because I can't afford to move again and never planned on moving back to a small apartment that's why we got him when we got our house but unfortunately things happen and we were only renting the house and they sold it so we had to leave and other Financial issues we had to downsize

Yes don't get me wrong that a trainer could assist but in this case with the breed I do believe the dog would be in a better position to be in placement that he is able to exert energy and have the lifestyle he previously had as well as there is a threat of losing their apartment so offering training assistance would not be an option

A huge thank you to our false sir for giving these little ladies a nice grooming. They also had a veterinarian appointment yesterday as there was a bit of a pregnancy scare. Both were given ultrasounds. Best news ever. They are not pregnant. We were dancing out of the clinic so excited to move them forward with getting fixed and on the right path to their future.

They look pretty darn good cleaned up I must say.
