On Monday, July 27, a tornado touched down in the Fox Cities. This devastated many members of our wonderful community. If we know one thing for certain, it’s that this community always bands together in times of need. Our hearts go out to all that were affected.

🔹Mile of Music will be donating 5% of Mile of Music merchandise sales from the Festival weekend to the tornado recovery. We are excited to partner with United Way Fox Cities, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation to understand and meet the needs of our community.

Additionally, Fox Communities Credit Union will be matching up to $250,000 in donations to support tornado recovery. To make a donation for the match, visit FoxCares.org and donate to the Fox Care’s Foundations’ Tornado Relief Support fund.

🔹TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is matching up to $10,000 in donations at this week’s Mile of Music Festival to support those impacted by severe storms and tornado in the Fox Valley. The match comes after Mile of Music committed to donate 5 percent of merchandise sales to the Fox Cares Foundation.

🔹Additionally, several artists have offered to contribute a portion of their merch sales to the cause. We are very appreciative of this kind offer & will update this accordingly. (Please note: Mile of Music does not collect a percentage of artist merch.)

🔹We will be rounding up tips and taking tips at our concessions stands during the festival (Jones Park, Houdini Plaza and Lawrence Lawn) with a portion of those going to the same relief fund.

🔹We’ll be producing a special Mile of Love tornado relief concert soon after the festival in tandem with our partners and collaborators with 100% of the dollars going to support the cause. More details to come later.

At Fox Cares Foundation, our mission is to build stronger communities by ending homelessness and promoting housing stability. While disaster response is not typically our primary focus, helping neighbors who have suddenly lost their homes is deeply aligned with our mission and values.

It's official! Our 5th Annual Swing Fore Fox Sake Golf Outing raised $9,500 more than last years outing for a total over $27,000! Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, volunteered or even just prayed for great weather for our 5th year in a row!

At our board meeting last week, we approved 4 grants totaling $19,000 to support meaningful work happening across our communities. These specific grants centered around housing stability and nourishment for the hungry— including culturally specific foods.
