Fitting the drawers on the end tables tonight. Some finish, wax, and they’re ready for their home.

I like a nice strong table base. Thick stock, when I can. A couple dominoes, and some gusseting with one of those big lags. In my opinion it’s a nice look and plenty strong.

This chunky table top needs a little softness. 1/8” on the top, 1/2” on the bottom and maybe it’ll look like less of a 1 5/8” thick top.

I love resawing wood. Not only do you make less waste by using more of the wood, but you get to see cool patterns you normally won’t see.

Slowly but surely. A tough work week and finally had the physical and mental energy to get out and finish these table bases.

I left my these legs all lonely as the fam and I went to for the long weekend. I shall make them in to a table base in short order upon my return.

I think this is going to be my next piece. Two of these. They will be end tables. I’m going to leave a live edge on the front of each.
