One of the most common issues we find in attics? Bathroom exhaust fans that vent directly into the attic instead of outside.
It may not seem like a big deal, but every hot shower sends moisture into that attic space. When that moisture has nowhere to go, it can lead to mold growth, damaged insulation, wood deterioration, and other costly issues over time.
Your bathroom fan should be exhausting that moisture to the exterior of the home, not into the attic. It's a small detail that can make a big difference.

Have you ever noticed small openings at the bottom of a brick wall and wondered why they're there?
Those are called weep holes, and they're actually supposed to be there. Their job is to allow moisture that gets behind the brick to drain out instead of becoming trapped inside the wall.
In these photos, you'll notice some weep holes have screens while others don't. The screens help keep insects and pests from making themselves at home inside the wall cavity while still allowing water to drain properly.
Since some of the weep holes were missing screens, we recommended adding them as a simple way to help keep unwanted visitors out.
Words cannot describe how much this ride means to me. It is such a blessing to see the way the community comes together to support these kids.
This year we had:
🏍 over 100 bikes
🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️🧍 even more participants
đź’˛$27,293 donated
None of this would have been possible without every individual and business that donated, everyone who volunteered and every person who participated.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for making this year's ride successful. See you next year!

It’s never a good sign when you can see daylight coming though the walls of your foundation. Holes like this can allow for water or pest intrusion, and should definitely be addressed by a qualified contractor.

Spring checklist reminder 🌿 Take a walk around your home and check for any plants, shrubs, or vines making contact with your siding. Vegetation touching your home can trap moisture against the siding and give pests a direct path inside.
A quick trim now can save you a headache later. đźŹ
