Last Friday, Real Time Dental Lab was honored to be invited to the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. Teaming up with the UNC Prosthodontics residents, we guided second-year DDS students through treatment planning using coDiagnostiX digital software.
David, our Director of the Guided Surgery Division, provided a hands-on, step-by-step live demonstration, giving the pre-doctoral students a comprehensive, A-to-Z understanding of digital workflow planning.
Across 4 packed sessions of 20–25 students each, we were able to train nearly 100 future dentists with digital implant planning skills.
The lecture was so much fun and a huge success. A special thanks to all the attendees for their fantastic engagement. We also want to extend our gratitude to the Prosthodontics team, our longtime friend Dr. Lilian Berridi-Garcia, and a huge thank you to Dr. Kevin Lim and Mr. Mitch Capriglione from Straumann for making this training a reality.

Having difficulty with final impressions for full-arch All-on-X cases?
There’s a streamlined solution. We call it the Copy-Mill Workflow: simply duplicate the provisional and mill the exact copy as your final restoration.

We were incredibly fortunate to be invited by Dr. Kevin Lim, DMD, MS, to UNC last Friday, joining top-tier oral surgery, periodontic, and prosthodontic residents all together for a incredible lecture.
Our speaker was the legendary Dr. Edmond Bedrossian from San Francisco, who presented on full-arch reconstruction utilizing zygomatic implants and the immediacy concept.
He laid the foundation by identifying different defect levels in edentulous patients to guide precise treatment planning. As a pioneer in modern full-arch implantology, Dr. Bedrossian shared unique insights into the evolution of our clinical approach. He dove into the engineering behind immediate placement and the specific zygomatic implant designs suited for various case scenarios.
We also reviewed the ZAGA approach—a highly effective protocol for clinical judgment—followed by hands-on experience navigating complex ZAGA 3 and ZAGA 4 zygomatic placements under his step-by-step guidance.
To wrap up, Dr. Bedrossian walked us through potential complications. A true master doesn’t just show you how to execute a procedure; they show you how to manage it when things don't go as planned.
Thank you, Dr. Bedrossian, for an exceptional afternoon, and a huge thanks to Dr. Kevin Lim and Mitch from Straumann for organizing such an informative event.
Eric from Real Time Dental Lab went chairside to assist with final impressions for an All-on-X case at the office of Dr. Ingeborg De Kok, DDS, MS at Apex Prosthodontics.
The initial surgery was expertly performed by Dr. John Kim, DMD, MS, PA at Rocky Mount Periodontics & Implant Center. The implants are looking great and are ready for the definitive phase! What a beautiful teamwork.
We are utilizing a streamlined digital & copy-mill workflow for this case—can’t wait to see the final results! 🤩🙌
