A fearful dog doesn’t mean we don’t train. It means we work harder to enforce clear boundaries.

Yup! Exercise is important but we don’t want to create marathon runners! Unless of course you’re a marathon runner 😁

⭐️ Majority of Dogs Are Not High Energy ⭐️ Are there high energy dogs? Absolutely! In my world most low to medium level energy dogs are diagnosed by their owners as high energy. And as you can see from above that’s a problem. Most dogs don’t know how to chill, and because they don’t have that skill they keep moving or become antsy. This is where the dog gets the high energy diagnosis. I’m not saying just make your dog sit all day, that would suck. What I’m saying is that you fulfill your dog’s needs and then make sure to provide down time, time to chill. Most dogs that I come across, once we do 10-15 minute of leash work, the dog is toast because we’ve made the dog think mentally and it’s tiring. Are there working line dogs out there? Yup! Are they high energy? Yup! Do you know what you’re getting when you adopt one? I hope so!
