And here at Buck Lake Ranch, we have a pretty special connection to Dolly. ❤️

The article takes us back to 1967, when Dolly Parton performed right here at Buck Lake Ranch. It explores the fascinating possibility that the woman who inspired Dolly’s legendary song “Jolene” may have been in the Buck Lake audience that day.

Whether history ultimately proves that connection or not, one thing is certain:

Dolly Parton performed on the stage many times at Buck Lake Ranch over the years.

❤️ THE ANGELS OF HIPPIE MAGIC ❤️

Sometimes, in the middle of a celebration, something happens that reminds us just how precious life truly is.

During Proud Mary’s performance at Hippie Magic, Bob suddenly went down and stopped breathing. In those terrifying moments, two incredible respiratory therapist angels, Tammy and Shelley, jumped into action—and their quick thinking and medical expertise 100% helped save Bob’s life. 👼❤️

Bob’s beautiful wife, Carol, had no idea who these two amazing women were until today, when during their shift at Parkview Hospital, Tammy and Shelley—along with Matt—stopped in to see Bob.

And in true Hippie Magic fashion, eventhough Tammy, Shelley & Matt who attend Hippie Magic every year had brought #53 Herbie the Love Bug back for another Hippie Magic, what they didn't know was they were sharing not only their love of the festival, but they would share their love of helping others and making a difference in people’s lives. ❤️🚗🌼

🙏 A SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO OUR FIRST RESPONDERS

We also want to recognize the incredible men and women of Steuben County EMS, the Fire Department, and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department for their quick response and immediate action when Bob needed help.

Their professionalism and speed helped get Bob the medical attention he desperately needed and transported him to Parkview Hospital in a timely fashion, giving him the best possible chance for a full recovery. We are incredibly grateful. ❤️🙏

Carol also wants to thank PROUD MARY band for their selfless act of immediately stopping their show and calling for a medic, the attendees who stepped in to help, the kind woman who gave her a water bottle, the medical personnel, and every single person who stopped, cared, helped, or prayed.

And the best news of all—Bob is going to be okay and is on the road to a full recovery! ❤️🙏

On behalf of Carol and her family, thank you from the bottom of their hearts.

And on behalf of everyone at Buck Lake Ranch, we are incredibly grateful that what could have been a heartbreaking moment at Hippie Magic has ended with hope, love, gratitude and a happy ending.

To Tammy and Shelley, our two respiratory therapist angels—thank you for being there when Bob needed you most. 👼❤️

To Steuben County EMS, the Fire Department and Sheriff’s Department—thank you for answering the call and helping save a life.

And to everyone who prayed, helped, called for assistance, or simply cared—you were all part of Bob’s story.

Hippie Magic is about peace, love, music and bringing people together. This weekend, we were reminded that the greatest magic of all is simply people helping people. ❤️
