Harpo Photos captured our first race in the 8A at Anderson Speedway this year. Apparently this is not an acceptable modification for downforce. We'll be back to try again.

We had an excellent race on Saturday at Anderson Speedway. Alex was fastest qualifier of 24 car field. Invert started him P8. Made up a few spots, and then racing incidents happen. Plenty of Oohs and Aahs from the crowd until duct tape was needed. Not the finish we wanted, but had a fast car. Thank-you to everyone who supports Hess Racing!!!

Racing today Anderson Speedway !!! First race of the season. Come watch the new 8A Alex W Hess make some fast laps.

Does anybody else have to consider tax implications of your middle school student's sports activities? $1800 + cash payouts. I think there's enough deductions to cover the winnings. 😣

Alex is trying a new ride at a Michigan track this weekend. He finds the acceleration is poor and the car is tight, and the other drivers don't hold their line and are super slow on the restarts. However the passenger said Alex is best-in-class. Not sure if there's any pay-out money for that or not.

On another note, the driver's meeting is extremely long and boring for this track (it's 24 hours of the race director talking about ~~flags~~ signs and stuff). Minimum age is also 14.75 years or they won't even let you try.

Not sure if we'll come back, entry fee is pretty high.
