Here's something very exciting about UAA Opera Ensemble's production of Magic Flute! A professional ensemble of incredible instrumentalists join the singers in the music-making.
Music Director Richard Gordon hails from New York and is a distinguished conductor and vocal coach. He will lead the ensemble and singers.

Clarinetist Christopher Song recently joined the UAA music faculty as the head of the education program and director of the UAA Wind Ensemble and Pep Band. He graciously joins our Mozart ensemble.

Kirby Kauffman is a member of the Anchorage Symphony, and the director of band at West High School. How fortunate that she joins us despite her very busy schedule and being in such demand as an artist in the community!

Flutist Laura Koenig holds the principle chair in the Anchorage Symphony, and is the artistic director of the Anchorage Festival of Music. She generously offers her golden tone and virtuosity to the production. What would the opera be without them?

We are so fortunate to have this distinguished ensemble as part of our production! All the more reason to come to our shows! Tickets at Centertix.com

Profile of Alison Pogue. Alison is a voice major in her junior year. She is featured in the role of Pamina in the Magic Flute. Today happened to be her 21st birthday, and what better way to celebrate but to be in rehearsal for one of the dream roles in the soprano repertoire! She's killing it, and we sang her happy birthday to celebrate! Come see/hear this gorgeous singer on April 18 at 4pm and April 19 at 7:30pm. Centertix.com
